Delete your Covenant account

You can request deletion in the app or by email if you cannot use the app. Your partner does not need to approve your request.

In the app

Open Covenant and go to Settings > Delete my account. The app offers you a copy of your data before you confirm. You may need to sign in again to confirm it is you.

Without the app

Email 1c619foundrylabs@gmail.com from the email address you used to sign up. Use Delete my Covenant account as the subject. We will reply by email to confirm the request, explain any steps needed to verify your account and confirm when deletion is expected. You do not need to send your private content.

What happens to your information

• Your sign-in, private content and attached files are removed when account deletion is completed. Any pairing ends.
• Shared couple records become inaccessible when the couple ends. They become eligible for deletion 45 days after that, subject to documented legal holds and reviewed exceptions. Your partner keeps their own private information.
• A minimal record without personal content may be kept so a backup restore cannot bring back your account. Necessary administrative records may be retained where required.
• Deleted information may remain in backups until those backups expire. Copies or screenshots saved outside Covenant cannot be recalled.

We will confirm by email the applicable retention periods for backups and any records that must remain after deletion.
